This is our logo, and our method. We build the black L with you. Capital lands last, in red. Tap the three open squares: they're yours.

The founder problem

Most ideas don’t fail. They dissolve.

Week −40The company gets registeredbefore a single customer has been spoken to.
Week −28The deck gets builtbefore the business model exists.
Week −12Applications go everywhereand come back rejected, quietly, with no explanation.
Week −4Someone offers to “arrange” a grantfor fifteen percent.
18months, gone

It isn’t a failure of ambition. It’s a failure of sequence.

What we do

One thing. Six weeks.

From an unstructured idea to a documented, incorporable, grant-eligible, pitch-ready business. In the right order, every time.

Red means capital. It comes sixth, not first.Dashed means yours. Execution is the part only you can do.

Portrait of Saksham Agarwal, Founder and Chief Executive of LABH Advisory
Saksham Agarwal · Founder & CEO
Every session is with me.No account manager, no handover to a junior. If that ever changes, you’ll hear it before you sign, not after.

I started LABH because the advice founders get here is either free and generic, or expensive and dishonest.

There’s more commercial talent in India’s smaller cities, from Ludhiana and Kanpur to Indore, Surat and Coimbatore, than the startup conversation gives it credit for. What’s missing isn’t ambition or capital. It’s the structure between an idea and a business.

So I built a practice that does one thing: six weeks, six working sessions, nine documents, and an honest score at the start and the end. I’ll tell you in week one if I think you shouldn’t build it. I won’t guarantee you a grant, and I’ll explain why anyone who does is a red flag.

LABH Advisory is a startup consultant based in Mohali, Punjab, working in person and online with founders anywhere in India. The work covers business structuring, business plans, pitch decks, DPIIT recognition readiness and a funding map of the central and state schemes you can actually apply to.

Foundation

A quick self-check, not the real assessment. The Diagnostic uses about 40 questions and asks for evidence. Red only appears at 70 and above, once the band’s minimum gates are met. How the score and its gates work.

The funding ecosystem

Five instruments. Not interchangeable.

  • Grant. Money you don’t repay and don’t give up ownership for. Awarded against published criteria, released against milestones, and always in competition with other applicants. Published ceilings are ceilings, not entitlements. Repay? No. Give up ownership? No. Who decides: A committee, competitively. Myth: “Eligibility means entitlement. It doesn’t. It means you may apply.”
  • Loan. Credit, sometimes with a government guarantee to remove the collateral requirement. The guarantee makes the loan possible. It doesn’t make it free, and it doesn’t make it soft. Repay? Yes, with interest. Give up ownership? No. Who decides: A lender, on creditworthiness. Myth: “A government-backed loan is government money. You repay every rupee.”
  • Equity. Capital in exchange for ownership. No repayment, but permanent dilution and a new party with rights over your decisions. Right when the business must grow faster than its own cash allows, and not before. Repay? No. Give up ownership? Yes. Who decides: An investor, on conviction. Myth: “Valuation is what you say it is. It’s what someone will pay.”
  • Incubation. Space, mentoring, credibility and, critically, the association that many central and state schemes route their money through. It’s a selection, not an application. Repay? Usually no. Give up ownership? Sometimes. Who decides: A selection committee. Myth: “Incubation means funding. Sometimes it leads to funding. It isn’t the same thing.”
  • Tax benefit. A deduction against profits you’ve actually made. Relevant later than most founders think, needs its own competitive approval beyond DPIIT recognition, and belongs in a conversation with your CA. Repay? Not applicable. Give up ownership? No. Who decides: A separate board, then the tax authority. Myth: “DPIIT recognition includes it. It doesn’t. It’s a separate, much harder approval.”

We map central schemes, your state’s schemes, incubators, angels and debt. Each is scored for fit, checked against its official source in the week we write your report, and sorted into apply now, prepare for, or don’t apply, with the reason.

Why LABH

Five reasons. The fourth matters most.

01
We tell you in week one whether this is worth doing. In writing. Some founders are told not to build it, and that conversation is worth more than the fee.
02
Anywhere in India, built on your state’s real rules.Every state runs its own startup policy. Haryana allocates seed grants by block category, Uttar Pradesh’s 2026 policy adds support for certain regions and sectors, and Himachal routes support through host institutions. Your funding map is built on your state’s actual policy, checked against the official source, not a national brochure.
03
Everything we say produces a document.Nine of them, yours to keep, plus a printed, bound Blueprint you can put in front of anyone.
04
The one that mattersWe don’t guarantee outcomes, and we’ll explain why nobody honest does.Grants are decided by committees we don’t sit on. No success fees. No percentage of anything you raise. Ever.
05
We put ourselves out of a job in six weeks. No lock-in, no dependency. You finish able to do this yourself next time.

Questions founders ask

Straight answers. Before you ask.

What does LABH Advisory do?
LABH Advisory is a startup consultant in Mohali, Punjab. We take founders from an unstructured idea to a documented, incorporable, grant-eligible and pitch-ready business in six weeks: business structuring, the business model and plan, pitch deck content, DPIIT recognition readiness, and a map of the central and state funding schemes that actually fit. We meet founders in person across the Tricity (Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula) and work online with founders anywhere in India.
How much does a startup consultant at LABH cost?
The first 25-minute call is free. The Startup Diagnostic costs ₹4,999 + GST and takes one week: a scored assessment across nine dimensions, a five-page written report and a 45-minute findings call. The six-week Startup Launch Program costs ₹45,000 + GST, paid 50% to begin and 50% before week four. There are no success fees and no percentage of anything you raise.
Can you guarantee a grant, loan or investment?
No. Grants and incubator seats are decided by committees we don’t sit on, and investors decide for themselves. What we do is make you eligible and ready: the right structure, the documents assessors ask for, and a funding map that says where to apply now, what to prepare for and what not to apply to. Treat anyone who guarantees a grant, or asks for a percentage of one, as a red flag.
Do you help with DPIIT recognition and Startup India registration?
Yes, as part of the Structure week. We check whether your entity and your innovation statement meet what DPIIT recognition asks for, and prepare what the application needs. LABH is not a registration agency: you, or your CA, file it on the Startup India portal. DPIIT recognition is also not the income tax exemption, which is a separate and much harder approval. How the two approvals differ.
Can you help me get the Startup India Seed Fund?
Not right now. New applications to the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme closed on 31 May 2026, and only startups already approved are still being paid. It always worked through selected incubators, not directly, so if a new round opens the route will start with the right incubator. Your Funding Opportunity Map checks this, and your state’s own schemes, against the official sources in the week we write it. What the Seed Fund offered, and where early money comes from now.
Do you work with founders outside Mohali and Punjab?
Yes. We are based in Mohali and meet founders in person across Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula; everyone else works with us online. Every state runs its own startup policy, so your funding map is built on your state’s actual rules, whether that is Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh or anywhere else, not on a national brochure. Startup grants in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
What do I get at the end of the six weeks?
Nine documents in all, yours to keep. Each week ends in one: the Startup Opportunity Assessment, Business Model Report, Innovation & Differentiation Statement, Structure & Compliance Roadmap, Funding Opportunity Map and the LABH Startup Blueprint. Alongside them come your pitch deck content and financial assumptions, a 90-day plan, a printed and bound Blueprint, and your Readiness Score at the start and at the end.
What is the LABH Startup Readiness Score?
A 100-point score across nine dimensions: Founder & Team (20), Customer Validation (15), Innovation (13), Problem Evidence (12), Solution Maturity (10), Market Opportunity (10), Business Model (10), Structure & Compliance (5) and Execution (5). A score of 70 or more, with the minimum gates met, is Grant & Incubator Ready; 85 or more is Investor Ready. The quick version on this page is a self-check; the Diagnostic uses about 40 questions and asks for evidence.
How is LABH different from a CA or a company registration firm?
A CA or a registration firm files things: incorporation, GST, returns. LABH works on what comes before and around the filings: whether the business is worth building, which structure it needs, the evidence and documents that assessors and investors look for, and which money fits. We work alongside your CA, not instead of one.
Who is Saksham Agarwal?
Saksham Agarwal is the founder of LABH Advisory and runs every session himself. He has 12 years as an entrepreneur and is Founder & CEO of Technogetic Pvt. Ltd. He is a Registered Mentor on BHASKAR, Startup India’s national registry run by DPIIT, and a member of TiE Chandigarh.
Can colleges, E-Cells and incubators book a talk or workshop?
Yes. Saksham runs talks and workshops for incubators, colleges, E-Cells and industry bodies on what actually gets funded, often with a live Readiness Score on two real ventures. Use “Invite Saksham” in the gallery section of this page and tell us about the event.
